About Me

I came to coaching after diverse experiences and a few twists and turns, all of which have proven to be very valuable in my coaching work. Early on, I trained as a shipping agent. Then, I turned to teaching and eventually completed my Masters degree in Education. Through it all, I remained a freelance artist (www.bluevermilion.com).

I soon found that I had a profound desire to help others, especially those with similar experiences to my own – career changes and/or a multicultural family, conflicts at work, or simply a need to apply their talents at work in a more advantageous way.

I encourage my clients to set clear and reachable goals with definite deadlines, and I use humor and a positive outlook to support my clients in leaving their comfort zones to discover new possibilities. It is my goal to assist my clients to reach their full potential and find fulfillment. I allow each person to go at his or her own pace, but I consider it part of my job to help my clients maintain focus.

The atmosphere I create in a coaching session is one of non-judgmental listening. I don’t tell my clients what to do. I offer an objective ear to help them gain the clarity they need to make the right decisions for themselves. I consider myself a “thought-sorter” – I reflect back what I hear in a way that brings insights, perspective, and an ability to prioritise.
